APPLICATIONS
Bonn Metals receives cable management enquiries for oil and gas facilities where route conditions, material selection and approval documents need careful coordination. Define the requirements of the individual installation before comparing GRP/FRP, steel and hot-dip galvanised systems.
Identify the conditions affecting each part of the cable route, including moisture, salt exposure, process substances and operating temperatures where relevant. A sheltered electrical area and an exposed process route may need different material reviews. State the project’s environmental and documentation requirements, with the specification reference and revision. For GRP/FRP systems, request compatibility information for the actual resin and construction. For steel and HDG systems, define the material, coating and connection requirements rather than relying on a general finish description.
Schedule tray or ladder widths, side depths, section lengths and quantities alongside bends, branches, reducers and connection parts. Give cable loading and intended support spacing together so the proposed product data can be reviewed on a clear basis. Identify installation orientation, equipment approaches and areas with restricted maintenance access. Where FRP cable ladders are being compared with HDG ladders, keep the same project inputs while checking each system’s own fittings, support details and installation guidance.
Identify the required drawings, load/span information, material details and supporting test documents at enquiry stage. Ask which evidence applies to the exact proposed product and configuration; a broad material or industry description does not establish project acceptance. Keep alternatives, unresolved inputs and components supplied by other packages clearly identified in the quotation. For staged work, use consistent item references and state the project area, quantities and required programme. The responsible project team should review the technical proposal before the agreed supply is released.
Start with the product name and share the dimensions, finish, quantity and project location when available.
