APPLICATIONS

Cable management for warehouses and logistics.

Plan warehouse cable management around storage layouts, equipment connections and the people maintaining the installation. Bonn Metals supplies cable trays, channels and supports for project requirements across Dubai, Abu Dhabi and the UAE.

Coordinate routes with warehouse operations

Map the cable route alongside racking, loading bays, doors, lighting and equipment connections before preparing the containment schedule. Where conveyors or handling equipment are present, identify their access and maintenance zones with the responsible project team. Changes to rack layouts or equipment positions can affect branches, cable drops and working clearances. Keep these interfaces visible on the coordinated layout so the ordered fittings and support positions reflect the warehouse arrangement being installed.

Specify containment and supports together

Select the tray, ladder or trunking arrangement against the cables, access requirements and available space. Include bends, reducers, joints and any specified covers alongside straight lengths. Schedule strut channels, brackets and connecting hardware separately, identifying the supported product and building interface. Provide cable loading and proposed support spacing where known, and request the relevant product information for review. The project team should confirm structural fixings and the complete support arrangement before installation.

Distinguish sheltered and exposed areas

An internal storage area, roof route, loading canopy and exposed yard connection may need different material and finish reviews. Describe moisture, contaminants and any cleaning or process exposure for each zone. Compare steel and HDG options with GRP/FRP cable trays where a composite alternative is being considered, using the actual product and exposure information. Add dimensions, quantities, delivery location and required documents to the enquiry; agreed supply arrangements are confirmed in the quotation.
