APPLICATIONS

Cable management for electrical cable routing.

Build a coordinated electrical cable route from containment, fittings and supports selected for the project. Bonn Metals manufactures and supplies steel, HDG and GRP/FRP systems for electrical and MEP enquiries across the UAE.

Choose containment around the cable arrangement

Start with the cables using the route, their entry and exit points, and the installation space available. Compare cable trays, cable ladders and trunking against the required support arrangement, access and enclosure details. Identify service separation requirements with the project designer rather than assuming the containment category resolves them. Keep usable dimensions, material and finish requirements clear in the schedule so the offered construction can be reviewed against the intended installation.

Plan branches and changes of direction

Follow the route through horizontal bends, vertical changes, branches and transitions before ordering straight sections. Coordinate fitting geometry with cable bending requirements, equipment approaches and neighbouring services. Schedule tees, crosses, reducers, risers, joints and covers under identifiable references, noting orientation and quantity. Include the accessories required at each connection. This gives the quotation a clearer scope and helps the installation team check that components belong to the selected tray, ladder or trunking system.

Confirm material, supports and installation information

Describe sheltered, outdoor and process-exposed sections separately when reviewing steel, hot-dip galvanised or GRP/FRP options. For composite routes, request information relevant to the offered construction, resin and environmental conditions. Provide cable loading, proposed support spacing and mounting orientation where available. Confirm joint positions, support interfaces, bonding or earthing requirements and installation guidance with the responsible project team. Keep accepted product documents and agreed revisions with the schedule before releasing the final order for the route.
